I’m Rebecca, and I Love a Good Plot Twist
My story is full of them.
Like how one minute, I’m a baker, and the next, I’m running a marketing department (at a gym… when I wasn’t even a fitness girly… and I didn’t even apply… more on that later.)
And now I’m in the business of writing new narratives for you.
I truly love that moment when your eyes light up because you’re seeing your business in a new light.
When you realize that you don’t have to:
spend hours endlessly tweaking your copy to sound ‘just right’.
Filming trendy reels that you don’t want to do, have time to do, feel right to you, nor bring you results.

It’s not that mysterious. Or long. Just seemingly random.
Like I said, before I was slinging words, I was a baker. And before that, I was an art student with illustrator dreams.
I used to think every chapter was a random twist of fate. But I’ve come to realize there’s a throughline – creative exploration, a desire for connection, and a hunger for learning.
And spinning a story.
Back in school, I was the girl turning in 20-page stories when the minimum requirement was just 2. (A belated apology to my teachers – that must’ve been obnoxious as hell to grade.) I wrote short stories that never saw the light of day, dabbled with a food blog, and moderated a text-based RPG forum (the nerddom runs deep.)
My love of words led to my taking on the social media account while running a cafe, which landed me an offer to work on the marketing team.
Where I fell headfirst into the world of strategic storytelling. Emails, social media, and blogs. Figuring out how to make the most Google-able web page.
Now I’ve spent over 10 years writing and building strategies to work for small businesses.
And you know what I’ve found? That it doesn’t always have to be so complicated… or scary!
In working with small businesses and service providers, I discovered a knack for not just coaxing out people’s unspoken genius, but for lifting preconceived notions about what marketing should be.

When I don’t have my Business Babe hat on, you can find me attempting to satisfy my wanderlust through regional cookbooks, hosting elaborate dinner parties, or freestyling in the kitchen. 90% of my conversations revolve around what I want to eat, so buckle up!
My grandma hobbies: Current obsession – embroidery (surprise, most of them are food-themed!). Or my one (self) allotted annual puzzle. Because when I’m on a puzzle mission, I do not stop. (A dog-with-a-bone-attitude that absolutely translates to my work ethic.)
Schitt’s Creek: Seriously, you can probably glean 96% of my personality just based on my obsession with this show.
My endless quest for cozy: It’s more than an unabashed enthusiasm for sweater weather (but seriously, it’s when I COME ALIVE.) It’s about creating an environment where you can feel completely relaxed, at home, and cared for. And, if we’re being honest, that’s my Raison D’être.
